NYSC Update: Names of 9 fake youth corpers released

NYSC UPDATE: Names of 9 Fake Youth Corpers has been released by the National Youth Service Corps

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Monday released the names of 9 potential corps members, who had been caught with impersonation accreditation during sign ups in Orientation Camps all through the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

During a press release issued by its Director of Press & Public Relations, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, The NYSC, pinpointed 9 of the apprehended Fake corps members. Four of which are from the Kebbi State camp, three from Taraba State, and two from Katsina.

Earlier, the Corps had warned that the act of presenting fake credentials would not be tolerated.

It mentioned, “In actualization of its purpose to erase unqualified graduates from its mobilization course, the corps has uncovered individuals who tried to signup with fake credentials during the course of sign up in its orientation camps.

“Three of the culprits, who had been apprehended in Taraba State Orientation Camp, are; Nasiru Yau from Mass Communication department, Shehu Muktar; Computer Science & Iliyasu Usman from Sociology division. They claimed to get graduated from Istop University, Cotonou in Benin Republic.

“it has been found that none of them can neither write nor say something rational about their credentials or on the other hand courses of examine. In the same way, NYSC Confirmation and authentication Officers furthermore detected two individuals in Katsina State Orientation Camp in the course of sign up. 

“They are; Offor Chinelo, KT/19B/3696, with Call-Up No., NYSC/ISU/2019/280122, with B.Sc in Insurance & Actuarial Science; Mezenwa Chidinma, KT/19B/3836, with Call-Up No., NYSC/ISU/2019/259331, with B.Ed in Education/English Language.

“The duo claimed to get graduated from Imo State University. In the meantime, they’ve been surrendered to the police for additional investigation. Six different corps members are nonetheless present process investigation.

“In Kebbi State Orientation Camp, Dakingari, 4 individuals had been furthermore found to into camp with fake papers from lmo State University. They are; Nwachukwu Curtis, KB/19B/3046, Ononuju Nwamaka, KB/19B/3147, Francis Arinze, KB/19B/3135, & Chigozie Chijioke KB/19B/ 3231.

“The NYSC had earlier issued a stern warning that unqualified graduates would not be allowed to participate in the national service and anyone caught with fake documents in its Orientation Camps would be handed over to the law enforcement agents for prosecution.”

The fake corps members is therefore surrendered to the police.
